Since the product is in close contact with the hot air all the time for a short duration the physical and chemical property of the wet mass to be dried remains unchanged. Thus, this dryer can also be used effectively for temperature sensitive products. Due to movement of the wet mass during fluidization lump formation and case hardening etc. is minimized. These types of dryers are not suitable for liquid or pasty material.

Bottom spray/ Wurster spray :

Fluid bed equipment can be converted into bottom spray/ Wurster spray by placing spraying gun at bottom in air distributing plate which will give tangential spraying flow for coating which coats faster and equally.
